Membership

If you are an Electrologist and would like membership information and a New Member Application please visit the AEA web site. Questions about membership in the Maryland Association of Professional Electrologists should be directed to membership@ marylandelectrolysis.org

Membership in the Maryland Association of Professional Electrologists (MAPE) provides you with networking opportunities with peers who can share their experience, professional development opportunities, marketing support and updates on relevant industry developments that directly impact your practice.

To become a member in the Maryland Association of Professional Electrologists, you must also be a member of the national organization, the American Electrology Association (AEA). Dues of $180 are paid annually, of which $140 covers the membership in the AEA, and $40 covers your MAPE membership dues.

You may become a member if you don’t hold the Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE) designation; however, the Maryland Association of Professional Electrologists strongly encourages all members to acquire national board certification. All members are required to adhere to both the AEA’s and MAPE’s Code of Ethics, By-Laws, Standards of Practice as well as the AEA’s Infection Control Standards.
