Proper Positioning Prevents Poor Performance

Presented by: Eileen Collins, BS, LEI, CPE and Sally McAleer, LEI, CPE

As Electrologists, we work on all parts of the face and body. Some areas are more challenging to reach than others, so the practitioner must be able to assume various positions to guarantee that the electrolysis performed is worthy and successful in nature. The quality of the electrologist’s work is principally based on the accuracy of the insertions. Therefore, the positioning of both the electrologist and the patient has a direct impression on the work. Accuracy of insertions is compromised if both patient and technician are not positioned satisfactorily. This interactive presentation will give the electrologist practical means of positioning to ensure the long-term health of the electrologist who can then provide the most accurate insertion possible. Ultimately, this will aid the electrologist in accomplishing the most proficient permanent hair removal possible.

11:00 am – 12:00 pm MAPE General Membership Meeting

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm 1 CEU (approved)

Participants will learn and practice yoga poses that can help alleviate physical strain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation, ultimately enhancing their overall quality of life. By the end of this class, participants should have gained an understanding of how yoga can benefit them in their profession and have practical knowledge of yoga poses they can integrate into their daily routines to enhance their physical and mental well-being.
