Meetings & Events

MAPE, Inc. is actively looking to restructure the way we will host a seminar in August.  The current situation is an unpredictable as well as unprecedented one.  We, out of the abundance of caution, care for our colleagues and speakers, will likely not hold an in-person August seminar.  Please stay tuned for future announcements.  Also, please note that the AEA has cancelled the annual convention at the Gaylord in Denver and will reschedule it based on available dates at that property in 2021.  As we begin to return to our livelihood, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any of us and we will do our best to help you navigate this uncertain time.  We are all in the same ocean (maybe not the same boat, but we are also trying to negotiate our way in this new world).

Dear MAPE Members and Friends,

We, along with our peer organizations, have been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 in the region.

It is with disappointment, but out of an abundance of caution, that we regret to inform you that we will be postponing our March 28, 2020 Spring Seminar and MAPE Meeting.
The following is new information and as soon as we have more details, we will update our website and social media platforms. Another email will also be sent.
We have been actively working with our speakers and the venue to reschedule the seminar for Sunday, August 23, 2020.  An updated brochure will be produced and we will update our website and send that out as soon as it is available.
Anyone who has sent in registration payment, please know that we have not deposited any checks and all checks will be returned.

Our hearts go out to all affected by the COVID-19 virus directly, as well as the many businesses, schools and organizations that will be impacted. We hope everyone remains well throughout this trying time. Thank you for your continued support and belief in MAPE’s continuing education events.

Eileen Collins LE CPE
VP and Program Chair, MAPE

MAPE will  offer 2 opportunities each year for electrologists to earn CEUs.  We will host or co-host an early spring Seminar where electrologists will be able to earn at least 6-10 hours of continuing education and a fall CEU Event where electrologists will be able to earn at least 2 hours of continuing eduction. MAPE will hold general membership meetings at each of these events.  This new format is due to a variety of reasons, including the desire of members to be able to earn the bulk of their CEUs in one weekend, we have less volunteers to put these events together and also due to the fact that these events take many hours to put together and the costs for individual events continues to rise.
